Proper Use of Waterproof Tape

Waterproof tape is a self-fusing, conformable electrical insulation and waterproof sealing tape. It has strong surface adhesion and good thermal stability. It can be used for electrical insulation and waterproof sealing. Waterproof tape can be used in conjunction with PVC tape to provide reliable waterproof sealing and insulation protection for electrical circuits.

Main insulation of busbar connections of 35KV and below

Waterproof sealing of grounding wires

To achieve optimal conformability and waterproof sealing, first remove the outer protective plastic layer of the tape before wrapping. Then stretch the tape to three-quarters of its original width. After wrapping, press the tape by hand at the wrapped area to ensure tight adhesion and no air gaps for full bonding. Finally, overlap the tape with two layers of PVC tape for mechanical protection. Waterproof connectors manufactured strictly according to the above process will generally not fail for many years. I have personally tested them in numerous projects, and there has never been a single case of failure! Wiring connectors should usually be soldered to prevent poor contact over time.
