Double-sided tape is an adhesive tape supplied in roll form, manufactured by evenly coating an elastomer-based or resin-based pressure-sensitive adhesive onto a substrate—such as paper, fabric, or plastic film. It consists of three components: the substrate, the adhesive, and a release liner (paper or film, often referred to as silicone-coated paper).
While the primary function of double-sided tape is to bond two items or materials together, it possesses several other notable characteristics. These include:
1. Environmentally friendly, high-temperature resistant, and high-tack;
2. Excellent holding power and strong weather resistance;
3. Good resistance to aging and UV radiation;
4. Soft and conformable, with excellent insulation properties.
