We use transparent tape frequently in our daily lives and work, especially in e-commerce and logistics, where it's often used for packaging cardboard boxes. However, tape often emits an unpleasant odor during use, especially in summer. Of course, many manufacturers now produce sealing tapes that meet environmental protection standards and have no impact on human health.
Transparent tape is made by subjecting BOPP film to high-voltage corona treatment, roughening one surface, applying adhesive, and then slitting it into small rolls. The adhesive is acrylic resin, also known as pressure-sensitive adhesive, and its main component is ester. Therefore, normally, environmentally friendly transparent tape should not have any irritating odor. Many tape manufacturers don't even need to wear masks during production, and some people even bite through the tape with their teeth. This demonstrates that the odor of environmentally friendly transparent tape has a very, very small impact on human health, almost negligible.
