BOPP sealing tape is widely used in packaging applications, including sealing, patching, bundling, and securing. Sealing tape, also known as BOPP tape or packaging tape, is made from a biaxially oriented BOPP polypropylene film substrate. A pressure-sensitive adhesive latex is evenly applied over a heated surface, forming an adhesive layer ranging from 8μm to 28μm. While China lacks comprehensive standards for the tape industry, the only industry standard is "QB/T 2422-1998 BOPP Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tape for Sealing." The original BOPP film undergoes high-voltage corona treatment to create a roughened surface on one side. Glue is then applied to the roughened surface, forming a master roll. This roll is then slit by a slitting machine into smaller rolls of varying sizes, resulting in the tape we use daily. Pressure-sensitive adhesive emulsion, primarily composed of butyl ester.
