Self-adhesive labels have a wide range of applications and come in many types. Therefore, it is necessary to select the appropriate material according to the customer's needs before printing. Specifically, the following aspects should be considered:
(1) The type of surface to which it will be applied. If the surface is a low-energy surface (such as plastic, glass, or iron sheet), a material with good adhesion should be selected; if the surface is a high-energy surface (such as PET or PVC), a material with moderate adhesion should be selected.
(2) The smoothness of the surface to which it will be applied. If the surface is curved, embossed, or has a rough texture, a material with good adhesion should be selected; if the surface is relatively smooth, a material with ordinary adhesion can be used.
(3) Application time. For example, for permanent applications, a material with good adhesion can be used; for temporary applications, a material with poor adhesion can be used; for applications requiring re-peeling, a material with good re-adhesion properties can be used.
(4) The application environment. For applications in environments with large temperature differences, materials with good weather resistance should be selected; for applications in environments that frequently come into contact with water or oil, materials with good water resistance or solvent resistance should be selected; for applications in high-temperature or low-temperature environments, materials with good flame retardancy or cold resistance should be selected.
(5) Transparency requirements.
