Why does double-sided tape fail?

When there are more impurities or particles on the surface of the double-sided tape to be adhered, the fit of the double-sided tape will be reduced.

Most tapes cannot be exposed to water, especially water-soluble tapes. When exposed to water, the tape will deteriorate and cannot be used normally. There are also special working environments in industry, where contact with water is inevitable. At this time, we should choose special waterproof tapes. When choosing tapes, look at the adhesive. Waterproof tapes are sticky with solvent-based glue and epoxy resin. Glue and polyurethane type, glue does not react chemically with water solvents.

There are also situations where the shelf life has expired. Hot melt double-sided tape is mainly used in stickers, stationery, office, etc. 3M double-sided tape is widely used in various fields such as mobile phones, cars, digital cameras, LCD, TV, PDA, LCD monitors, laptops, etc.

To best meet the different needs of customers, it should be selected according to the application products and environmental needs. , please refer to the following instructions:

1. The double-sided non-woven fabric base material has good adhesion and processability. Generally, it has a long-term temperature resistance of 70-80°C and a short-term temperature resistance of 100-120°C. The thickness is generally 100-120°C and is suitable for nameplates and plastics. It is suitable for lamination, automobiles, mobile phones, electrical appliances, sponges, rubber, signs, paper products, toys and other industries, home appliances and electronic instrument parts assembly, and display lenses.

2. The base-free double-sided tape has excellent bonding effect, can prevent peeling and has excellent waterproof performance. It has good processability and good temperature resistance. It can withstand temperatures of 204-230℃ in the short term and generally has a temperature resistance of 120-145℃ in the long term. , the thickness is generally 2, suitable for the bonding of nameplates, panels, decorative parts, etc. !
