Polyimide tape features superior electrical properties, including high insulation, high-temperature resistance (up to approximately 280°C), resistance to acids and alkalis, and low electrolysis. It is ideally suited for masking and protecting "golden fingers" (contact points) on Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) during SMT reflow soldering and wave soldering processes; upon removal, the masked area leaves behind no adhesive residue.
