Four Common Uses for Single-Sided PET Tape

Adhesive tape is a common item in daily life, yet you may not be familiar with PET single-sided tape. Also known as PET high-temperature tape, this product is manufactured by coating both sides of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film with an acrylic adhesive. PET single-sided tape is typically transparent or black in color; green PET tape is rarely encountered.

This type of tape is specifically designed for specialized applications:

1. PET single-sided tape is primarily used for masking and protection during painting and plating processes. Its key features include resistance to temperatures of up to 200°C for 30 minutes, as well as resistance to acids, alkalis, corrosion, and high voltage, leaving absolutely no residue upon removal.

2. PET single-sided tape serves as a masking and insulating material during high-temperature spray-painting processes for electronic products, the automotive industry, and other painted goods; it ensures that no adhesive residue remains on the surface after manufacturing.

3. It is utilized for securing printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic components, resistors, and capacitors during production. Furthermore, in industries such as home appliances, machinery, and electronics—where high-temperature coating protection is required—PET single-sided tape provides effective high-temperature adhesion and fixation.

4. PET single-sided tape protects the "gold fingers" (connector contacts) on circuit boards during wave soldering, reflow soldering, or tin bath soldering processes.

The performance of PET single-sided tape is superior to that of ordinary adhesive tapes. If you have any requirements for this product, please do not hesitate to contact us.
